If you want your card to be automatically loaded in startup add a line (or find if there's one and uncomment it) in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules.
What are you doing to connect to internet? Is it ADSL, Cable, Dial-up?

Anywhere, add it at the end if you want to.
So does your router connects for you or you've to run pppoe?

If you router does for you, edit /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf and add the corresponding settings for you on eth1. Then run: /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1 restart
See if it's all ok with ifconfig.

Well, then in /etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf you should find something like:
IPADDR[1]=""
NETMASK[1]=""
USE_DHCP[1]=""
DHCP_HOSTNAME[1]=""

If you get a ip from your router put "yes" in USE_DHCP. Else, set the IP you need.
And almost at the end of the file you should see GATEWAY="" se it to your router ip.

The line you should add at /etc/rc.d/rc.modules is /sbin/modprobe dmfe

Yeap, maybe you didn't read what I added in a edit: "The line you should add at /etc/rc.d/rc.modules is /sbin/modprobe dmfe" With this it will be modprobed automatically.
