KDE4 error - libsolid.so.4

I just upgraded to -current. I was running KDE4.2 before, and just updated to 4.21.

It fails, saying that it can't find libsolid.so.4. I went through the changelog, and it seems I got everything that was upgraded and added. Any ideas on how to make sure I have this dependency?

Hi -

libsolid.so should be part of the KDE libraries (i.e. part of what you just installed).

SUGGESTIONS:
1. find / -name "libsolid.so*" -print 2> /dev/null
<= Look for any/all versions of "libsolid" on your system

2. Re-install (with force option) kdelib-4.2.1

'Hope that helps .. PSM

Didn't seem to do it. Can you shed some more light on how to reinstall with the force option?

upgradepkg --reinstall --install-new kdelibs-4.2.1-i486-1.tgz

or maybe better to use slackpkg

slackpkg update
slackpkg reinstall kdelibs
slackpkg install-new

Thanks. I have been using swaret all this time...and that is where my problem was. Used slackpkg, and it worked first time.

Thanks for the heads up; I hope this helps the rest of the swaret stragglers out.
