KDE errors in Slackware 13.0

Recently upgraded to Slackware 13.0 from 12.2 and boy are there quite a few changes. I removed the .kde and .config folders from my home directory to start fresh and upon startup right after KDE tries to start Akonadi, I'm greeted with a list of tests and their status. For the most part everything is a SUCCESS except for test 10 and 12, which display the following:

Test 10: ERROR
--------

Akonadi server process not registered at D-Bus.
Details: The Akonadi server process is not registered at D-Bus which typically means it was not started or encountered a fatal error during startup.

Test 12: ERROR
--------

No resource agents found.
Details: No resource agents have been found, Akonadi is not usable without at least one. This usually means that no resource agents are installed or that there is a setup problem. The following paths have been searched: '/usr/share/akonadi/agents'. The XDG_DATA_DIRS environment variable is set to ':/usr/share/akonadi/agents', make sure this includes all paths where Akonadi agents are installed to.

Directory listing of '/usr/share/akonadi/agents':
distlistresource.desktop
icalresource.desktop
imaplibresource.desktop
kabcresource.desktop
kcalresource.desktop
knutresource.desktop
localbookmarksresource.desktop
maildirresource.desktop
mailthreaderagent.desktop
nepomukcontactfeeder.desktop
nepomukemailfeeder.desktop
nepomuktagresource.desktop
nntpresource.desktop
strigifeeder.desktop
vcarddirresource.desktop
vcardresource.desktop

Environment variable XDG_DATA_DIRS is set to ':/usr/share/akonadi/agents'

akonadictl status reports that the Control and Server are running once I get into konsole and future starts of KDE no longer show this unless I start KDE from scratch with no .kde and no .config again. Is this normal or is something missing?

This is normal in the default install of Slackware13.0. Akonadi provides personal information management services. You can safely ignore the errors.
You can see further information in this thread.

Thanks for the reply allend. While these errors can be safely ignored, it was irritating to see them even if it was only on the first time starting up KDE.

Apparently if you are root or are part of the wheel group, which I am to the latter, Akonadi will throw up some errors. Nothing major, but still wanted to know what was causing it.
