Javac

I am trying to slackbuild portmidi package and it requires JDK.

When I run the slackbuild script it fails with the error:

/bin/sh javac: command not found

I have the JDK package installed from /extra. Is this a PATH issue?

What can I do to resolve the issue?

If you are running the SlackBuild script as su, then /usr/lib/java/bin won't be on the PATH. Try doing a "source /etc/profile.d/jdk.sh" before you run the script.

gsl: That was a really good suggestion but it still doesn't work. Same error. (I am running as SU, btw)

Ok, it was a PATH error. For some reason though the /etc/profile.d/jdk.sh didn't work. I had to do an EXPORT PATH manually.

Thanks for the help gsl!
