@pompous ninja

BOB teaches that all you need is twelve text editors and cobol compiler. You can even use both vim and emacs and it's OK, praise BOB.

BOB asked P.V. to find the best desktop for slackers. After countless hours of slacking and a few hours of testing P.V. found Plasma. That thing is so powerful, it needs all your RAM to display a round clock. So most of the time everything is perfect in the universe of the Subgenius with all slackers staring at the round clock and acquiring more Slack with every move of the hand.

But some disruption in the force may push even the best slackers to do some real work. And most likely the needed software wont be available in Slackware. In case like this BOB recommends to ask some ambiguous question in this forum an let others convince you that you don't actually need to do this work. It works most of the time.

It is unknown who did the first sin, but it was not a true slacker, a subsubsubgenius who wasn't convinced and wrote a slackbuild. Then others followed. And they shared their slackbuilds on SBo. SBo is somewhat tolerated by BOB but will never have His blessing.

The heresy begun with the PAM followers. The witch seduced those weak slackers and allowed them to do thing they could never do with Slackware. BOB hates PAM because she is too permissive and her dog Kerberos is too messy.

But the real heretics are those few who dared to use systemd. They felt the wrath of BOB. No one heard of them since.

Hope this helps

Cheers.
