Installing winXP on other partition wipes my MBR....i want my lilo back!!

Subject pretty much says it all....

I need to reinstall my windows XP on my hda1, my linux is on my hda2. I know that if i re-install it, it'll wipe lilo off the MBR and the computer will always boot straight into windows. How can i prevent this from happening?

-- alternatively how can i boot into my linux partition again after installing winXP? (if i can do that i can just run lilo again from command line as root which will write to the MBR).

The easiest way is to install LILO after XP, then boot with a livecd (can be Slack's cd 2) mount you harddisk partition, chroot to it, and install lilo by issuing: lilo
