Question install Poulsbo Linux driver GMA500


I installed Slackware Linux 13.1 on my Dell Inspiron Mini1010. someone could help me?

The description is

Model Inspiron Mini 1010
Processor Type Atom Z520
Chipset: GMA500
Processor Speed 1.33 GHz
RAM Size 1 GB
RAM Technology DDR II SDRAM
Hard Drive Capacity 160 GB
Hard Drive Interface SATA
Screen Size 10.1
Screen Type WXGA 1024x600


and the "lspci | grep VGA" command shows this

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation System Controller Hub (SCH Poulsbo) Graphics Controller (rev 07)

It is possible to get this chip set working, I have no idea if any slackers have it going. It will run under Ubuntu, I know that is not your distro of choice.

I have also seen posts saying Mandriva will run out of the box on the GMA500 chip set. I have a HP Mini 210, and it came with a standard Intel chip set. Best of luck with it.

The articles are very interesting, unfortunately left INTEL GMA500. I tried to compile following your information you sent me, but I could not compile the driver (try only once). I will try again this weekend and I tell her I succeeded.
