I say burn your /home, /etc, /boot (assuming you saved your working kernel configs there), and /var (mostly for the Dropline packages) to CD and go for it. If you're happier with Fedora, stick with it. If not, you can get back your Slack in like 30 Min. You'll be able to save a bunch of time getting your box back to where it is now by making those CD's. When I re-install, I usually don't use the CD's at first (I like to see how much I can get dialed in from memory
). If I run into problems, the CD's help jog my memory.
