How to mount x86 solaris 10 root partition on Slackware 14.2?

I have got two questions.

My hdd has 3 partitions as follows;
/dev/sda1 linux
/dev/sda2 solaris
/dev/sda3 linux-swap

I want to mount solaris root partition in slack and
add solaris root partition in lilo.conf

I tried with following;
#mount -t ufstype=sun86 -o ro /dev/sda3 /mnt
AND
#mount -t ufs -o ro /dev/sda3 /mnt
but both the commands failed.

Does slack 14.2's kernel 4.4.x come with ufs support or do I need to recompile it as this link suggests?

/dev/dsk/c0d0s0 is the root partition of solaris (most probably).
How can I add solaris root partition to lilo.conf

If you grep the config for ufs on 14.2, it shows the following:

Code:
CONFIG_SCSI_UFSHCD=m
CONFIG_SCSI_UFSHCD_PCI=m
CONFIG_SCSI_UFSHCD_PLATFORM=m
CONFIG_UFS_FS=m
# CONFIG_UFS_FS_WRITE is not set
# CONFIG_UFS_DEBUG is not set
So, it looks like it should have ufs support, but you may need to load the ufs module before you can mount it. And it does not have write support enabled, so if you want that, you would need to recompile the kernel.

As for the Solaris partition table, that is already enabled in the kernel.
CONFIG_SOLARIS_X86_PARTITION=y

Yes, the generic 4.4 kernel has ufs as a module, so mount with type ufs should work (and indeed: it should be read-only),
BUT: in the partition info you gave sda2 (digit TWO) as the Solaris partition while in
the mount command you specified sda3 (digit THREE) which is the swap partition so certainly isn't of type ufs.

What a silly and idiotic mistake I've made! It makes fool of me!
I sincerely beg your apology for wasting your precious time.

It must be sda2. I mistakenly wrote sda3. You got right.
