Out of curiosity, how would you share your printer in samba, so that any windows user can use it to print? I had trouble with that, because whenever a person tries to "add a network printer" in windows, it attempts to "install the drivers" and fails afterwards.
i tried
[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
browseable = no
# Set public = yes to allow user 'guest account' to print
guest ok = no
writable = no
printable = yes
Maybe that's the trick, this is how I share a printer with a Linux and two Win machines:
Code:
[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
browseable = no
# Set public = yes to allow user 'guest account' to print
public = yes
guest ok = yes
writable = no
printable = yes
printer admin = root

Your printer has to support PostScript for you to enable it. I dont think yours supports it. Check the Epson drivers for windows. See if it has drivers for PCL 5e/6, PostScript - or just a generic driver. If the printer is a cheapy (consumer level) chances of PostScript support are very slim.
