http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/P/PostScript.html

If your printer isn't Postscript it should be really old (like my dot matrix printer :P)

Out of curiosity, how would you share your printer in samba, so that any windows user can use it to print? I had trouble with that, because whenever a person tries to "add a network printer" in windows, it attempts to "install the drivers" and fails afterwards.

i tried
[printers]
comment = All Printers
path = /var/spool/samba
browseable = no
# Set public = yes to allow user 'guest account' to print
guest ok = no
writable = no
printable = yes

Just install the drivers when it's asked to (tell it to not try to get them from the server but from the ones you downloded for windows)

Maybe that's the trick, this is how I share a printer with a Linux and two Win machines:
Code:
[printers]
   comment = All Printers
   path = /var/spool/samba
   browseable = no
# Set public = yes to allow user 'guest account' to print
   public = yes
   guest ok = yes
   writable = no
   printable = yes
   printer admin = root

I thought windows can use IPP (Internet Printing Protocol) (CUPS is an implementation of IPP) directly.

Theoretically,
1. Point to an IP address
2. Install Windows printer driver.

go to your internet browser and type

You will try this URL instead

http://127.0.0.1:631

Because default config file in CUPS allow loopback IP Address (127.0.0.1) only for connect to CUPS Service. :-)

Well I set up my printer and it works. However I didn't check postscript. Would there be a difference in quality?

Your printer has to support PostScript for you to enable it. I dont think yours supports it. Check the Epson drivers for windows. See if it has drivers for PCL 5e/6, PostScript - or just a generic driver. If the printer is a cheapy (consumer level) chances of PostScript support are very slim.
