How to disable gpm at kernel boot

i seem to be having issues as i enabled gpm because when i started kde it wouldnt load because gpm wasnt enabled.. So now i dont have a keyboard thats on or anything when gpm is loaded.. So how do i pass a parameter at the lilo boot screen to disable gpm from being loaded so that i may go and do mouseconfig to disable it?
