Most likely you failed to install tcl...

Wish is the "graphical Tcl shell",
so to speak.

It certainly IS on the CD's

Tink

mount the #1 cd
then do
Code:
su - (if you're not root already)
installpkg <your_cd_mountpoint>/slackware/tcl/tcl*tga
That's it.

I suggest that you read the man pages for
pkgtool, installpkg, removepkg and upgradepkg.

And I had figured out the first day of Slack-usage
how packages are installed, and where on the CD
they live ;) Reading README's really helps!

Cheers,
Tink

The final step of installations usually has to be done
as root, since no other user has (and shouldn't have)
write permission to other directories than /home/<username>
and /tmp.

So if you
su
make install
it should be fine.

Cheers,
Tink

What is it that you installed? It sounds
like a palm-OS emulator and the process
you describe is the calibration?

Cheers,
Tink
