Help installing Slackv9.0

Hi I am new here. I'm trying to install Slackv9.0 with the cd, Everything goes fine until I go to partition the HD. I run "cfdisk dev/hda" it then gives me a message "Opened disk read-only - you have no permission to write" cfdisk will open up and I can set up the partitions but I can not write them. Can anyone point me I the right direction?
