I am also using the "Guarddog" firewall application.
It seems that I can protect my Ethernet LAN connections with it, but is there any way to protect my dial up connection (which I use to connect to the Internet) with "Guarddog" ??
If not, then is there any other easy way to setup a firewall for my dial up connection?
Distribution: Slackware & Slamd64. What else is there?

I don't have it installed anymore, but isn't there a protocol tab which shows various protocols? Look for PPP or whatever you are using for your dialup.
Yes you can protect your dial-up connection with Guarddog. What you actually do is to configure which protocols are going to be served between the "local zone" (your PC) and the "internet zone". Take some time reading the "help". It is indeed very helpful, well written and it will assist you setting up you firewall.
Hello jadukor! you will be glad to know that with the help of guarddog I have managed to configure iptables so I get all my ports green-stealth in the grc (www.grc.com) test. The help text is really very consice and elementary, you just cannot miss it.
My only problem with guarddog is it blocks all out going ports by default so I use firestarter but its for gnome but you can use it with kde you just have to install all its deps.
