I'm using kde 3.1.4 on slack 9.1.
When I use gaim, I get a somewhat darker gtk theme as the kde colors.
So I thought... let's start gnome-control-center, or gnome-theme-manager and change it to something lighter that looks a little more like my kde apps.
So I did.. and it looked wonderful.
Next time I log in... the dark colors are back for gtk apps. BUT when I start gnome-theme manager (without doing anything in there) suddenly my gtk apps change to the color I selected to match my kde.
When I log into gnome iso kde, I get the right colors as well.
Do I need to start something to load the gtk color theme when I log into KDE ?that sounds strange.
Anyone have a clue? Maybe missing some package?
when I start gnome-theme-manager from an x-term I get the following when I change to another theme :
Failed to read theme from file /usr/share/themes/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml: Failed to open file '/usr/share/themes/metacity-1/metacity-theme-1.xml': No such file or directory
Which makes sense as the metacity-1 directory is a subdirectory of a theme directory (like Metabox or Esco). But it changes the appearance anyway.
