Since getting a new keyboard I haven't been able to do anything in the grub menu. That hasn't been a problem for the last few months because Linux is my default but today I wanted to boot into windows and I can't.
I thought it was because I had plugged the keyboard into a USB3 port but swapping to a USB2 port made no difference. I tried with the BIOS USB legacy options on and off. I added the lines
Code:
GRUB_PRELOAD_MODULES="usb usb_keyboard ehci ohci uhci"
GRUB_TERMINAL_INPUT="usb_keyboard"
to /etc/default/grub and ran grub-mkconfig but that doesn't make a difference either. I plugged in another USB keyboard and that doesn't work in grub either. The USB keyboards work fine in the BIOS and in Linux, just not grub.
I could have just plugged in a ps2 keyboard again (about 2000 times) in the time I have been playing around with this, but I would like to have my USB keyboard working. Any ideas?
