GCC on a Minimal System.

Good morning,

I am going to get a minimal install of Slackware, but I'll use only the 'A' packages series because of few space on my Hard Drive.
Furthermore, I need GCC to compile my C programs (I'm learning this language).
So, the question is:

What are the packages I need to run correctly gcc?

Thanks

Wario.

Hello,

It depends on the Slackware release you run. On a 13.37, this should be enough:
  • d/binutils
  • d/gcc
  • d/kernel-headers
  • l/glibc (the big package)
  • l/libmpc
  • l/mpfr

You will also certainly want to add make, which is in d/.
