Firefox Security Certificates no longer valid

Hello everyone,

I am using the default XFCE desktop on Slackware 14.1 (32-Bit) and I am having problems accessing sites protected with SSL/https. I am often getting the notice that the "security certificate for this website has expired".

I originally replaced the "Web Browser" icon with firefox 36. The browser prompted me for an update to 36.0.5 yesterday and I accepted this update. Today I can no longer access SSL-encrypted sites (see above) and I am also having problems of installing "AdBlock Plus" because of this issue.

Is anyone facing similar problems?

Just noticed that the time and date were correct but the year had been set to 2021 for some reason. The following command did the trick:

Quote:
# ntpdate pool.ntp.org
