Did you look in the hcl of LQ?
http://www.linuxquestions.org/hcl/sh...hp?product=748
That's a R300 but I'd bet they're not that much different. Also check
http://www.linuxprinting.org for specifics. They call the R300
a paperweight, but one of our mods, David Ross, got his to work.

Once you get your printer working, why not post a hcl (Hardware
Compatabliity List) thread on the R200, so someone else who searches
there will be able to see what you did.

TTFN!

You could try to set it up...

http://localhost:631/

If your computer hostname is something other than the default 'localhost', change it.... Go to manage printers. Enter your computer username and password to which you are currently logged into. It's really straight forward. If it's USB, it'll probably be device "location" '/dev/usb/lp0'..(Zero) Under epson, pick the 'Epson new photo stylus series using cups 1.1'... If it doesn't work, just wait a little.... Support will be out soon... There are supposed to be some expiermental drivers I read about on a brief google search... Atleast for the 300....
