dillo and cookies


Hi all, i've decided to try dillo on my old pc has firefox was running too slow. But i'm having trouble with cookies, for an example linuxquestions...i can't stay logged in, as soon as i login and move to slackware forum my username has gone.

my ~/dillo/cookierc looks like this

DEFAULT DENY
.linuxquestions.org ACCEPT

But doesn't seem to work.

What type of DE/WM are you running on your old PC? Perhaps if you run something like Fluxbox then you will be able to more easily use Fire Fox.

My WM is fluxbox hitest but firefox runs too slow, i'm using 13.37. Apart from firefox my system runs fine.

I understand. I'm also running Fluxbox on Slackware-current on an old 850 MHz IBM eServer that has 768 MB RAM. FF will load okay on the unit, but, it takes a bit of time. I've also taken dillo for a test drive, but, did not care for it.

xxxterm

If you want a light web browser with a good cookies management, I suggest you xxxterm based on webkit-gtk.
