Hello all. Can you tell me how can i change my desktop enviroment? I mean smth else than KDE...

logout and select your prefered desktop environment from "session" menu of the "display manager"

What desktop manager are you using: gdm, kdm? If you look at the documents for it you will find what configuration files need editing and how. If your booting to runlevel 3 and are using startx to fire up X then edit ~/.xinitrc and add/edit the line 'exec <insert fav wm>'. You will of course have to install your preferred WM/DE first
