dell xps1330 mousepad

Hiya,
This has got very annoying for some reason. When i touch the pad, it counts that as a "left-click". it's rather sensitive too. Does anyone know how this can be turned off?
It never used to do this, but I believe it happens now since i switched on HAL? Or something like that, I cannot remember I'm afraid ( i remember activating something to do with HAL to fix another problem but cant remember what).

Thanks in advance,

Tom

Greetingz!

Assuming you're using the Synaptics touchpad driver, check the manpages for "synclient" and "syndaemon".
To disable the tap, you should just have to type in;
Code:
synclient TapButton1=0
To tweak things so you don't constantly have to type that in after every reboot, just throw that in your rc.local script.

Hiya,
I had a read of those man pages and tried your line. It's telling me i dont have synaptic drivers loaded. I have no idea what drivers I have loaded for the mousepad

Thanks for trying mate,

Tom
