dblatex fails to build

Get an error when trying to compile dblatex from Slackbuilds

Quote:
Error: not found: changebar, subfigure, titlesec
It looks like these files used to be delivered by texlive

Ditched patches/packages/texlive-2023.230322-x86_64-1_slack15.0.txz in favour of
texlive-2021.210418-x86_64-2.txz

dblatex now compiles successfully.

Needed dblatex for kicad-docs for kicad

kicad stood up.

No idea why changebar, subfigure, titlesec aren't included in patches/packages/texlive-2023.230322-x86_64-1_slack15.0.txz

Do you have texlive-extra installed from SBo?

https://slackbuilds.org/repository/1...texlive-extra/

Lots of stuff was moved from texlive to texlive-extra on the upgrade from texlive-2021 to texlive-2023. There are threads discussing it here on LQ.

If installing texlive-extra would help it should be added as a dependency in dblatex.info at slackbuilds.org.

Thanks.

Reinstalled texlive-2023
Recompiled dblatex it failed as expected
Installed texlive-extra from SlackBuild
Integrated texlive-extra as per instructions
Recompiled dblatex successfully

As it helped I agree with henca that

It looks like dblatex may need a new maintainer:
https://git.slackbuilds.org/slackbui...grep&q=dblatex

Two new versions have been released since 0.3.10 (both in 2020):
https://sourceforge.net/projects/dblatex/files/dblatex/

Also I think this comment from the SlackBuild doesn't apply to Slackware 15.0:

Code:
# latex in slackware 14.2 doesn't have this package
unzip "$CWD/bookmark.tds.zip"
cp -pav "./tex/latex/bookmark/" "./latex/"
As texlive-2023.230322 does contain /usr/share/texmf-dist/tex/latex/bookmark.
