Question current state of gui for package managers

Yes this is a slapt-get vs. swaret type thread ... no flaming please!

So, I've just discovered QTswaret. I originally used swaret, then slapt-get from a shell. QTswaret seems good ... am I missing any other (preferably) gui based options?

Do they work with Slack, presumably as front-ends to slapt-get?

Okay I have not been totaly wrong .... but if they work with slapt-get?
I know that synaptics works fine with apt-get and yumex with yum.

Do apt-get and yum work on Slackware? ... that would be awesome; I had no idea!

So me also cause I never used slackware... should I give it a try?
But if so as you said then you can use synaptics for apt-get and yumex for yum.

I don't think they will work on Slackware without doing a lot of work, because Slackware has no RPM or DEB package database.
slapt-get has a official front-end called gslapt: http://software.jaos.org/
