Creating a firefox package

I'm currently running 13.37 and the newest package of firefox out in the patches directory is 17.0. I wonder if it is possible to create a Slackware installation package of current version of Firefox (25.0).

Right now, I simply extract the tar.bz2 file that I downloaded from the firefox website and run the firefox binary inside the extracted package. But I don't feel that's the right way to do it :-(

It would be great if you guys can point or suggest a better solution.

Thank you.
