[SOLVED] Corrupted isolinux.cfg in AlienBob's -current ISO?

Hello fellow slackers;

First off, thank you AlienBob for your time and work on all things Slack.

I just downloaded AlienBob's ISO image for Slackware64 current, dated OCT02, and am unable to boot from the created DVD.
Upon boot, isolinux loader shows error messages:

- "Unknown keyword in configuration file: Gh"
- "No DEFAULT or UI configuration directive found"

Having looked into /isolinux/isolinux.cfg , showed that it seems to be corrupted as it should contain legible text, but actually holds 'mojibake' and non-printable characters.

Donwloaded ISO checks out MD5 ok.

Anyone else ran into this or am I doing something wrong?

Hi,

If the downloaded ISO checks OK then how does the Burnt image checkout?

Try;

Hello, OneBuck, and thank you for the pointer. For the time being, however, I am limited to a Windows machine, and haven't found tools that can do the job. The info is useful for future reference, nevertheless.

Hi,

In that case, I suggest try using ImgBurn on the MS Windows machine. Burn at a slower rate 2x or 4x for the image. You can use the compare function that imageburn provides;

I use ImgBurn when ever on a MS machine with no problems or issues.

For some reason, that ISO image was unusable. I mounted it locally, on the server, and got garbage. I have re-created it, and it looks OK now.

slackware.no is been making iso images from current, you may give It a try as well.
