I've run GSB a few times and it is a rock-steady version of Gnome for Slackware. If you like Gnome it is a good choice.
I started out years ago with Gnome (still like it), crossed over to KDE, abandoned KDE when 4.x came out, used Xfce off and on all during this time and ended up sticking with it as my main WM/DE.
When I'm loading Slackware, the Tux logo is messed up. There are two Tux's sitting next to one another, and are discolored. Why would that be?
Running a dual-core machine with an ATI (or other non-co-operative) graphics chipset? I have a triple-core ATI that gives me three screwed up penguins and I have a dual-core NVIDIA that gives me two nice penguins. It's just a cosmetic issue, so I haven't done much about it.

I'm still thinking about it but I'm trying to hold off on it. I don't know if I'm going to stick with Gnome once 3.0 rolls out, so I'm going to have to get used to something else sooner or later.
