connecting Apache 1.3.x and Tomcat 5.5: mod_jk

Is there a completely idiotproof watertight lavaresistant HOWTO that will help me connect tomcat 5.5 and Slack 10.1's regular Apache 1.3.x please?

Apparantly what I am looking for is called mod_jk, so I went and downloaded the 1.2.8 sources, compiled, and copied the resulting mod_jk.so over to /usr/libexec/apache... but then, what do I do?

I reckon I will need to add a LoadModule & AddModule statement to httpd.conf... it specifies the order is important? Also, does the module require any further configuration? And how do I set it up from Tomcat's end?

Thanks in advance!
