compat32pkg update?

Hi all,

I am interested in using compat32pkg to manage the compat32 packages.

However, I have noticed that it hasn't been updated since late 2019. Am I correct to assume it needs an update? In particular, would the file /etc/compat32pkg/multilib-32bit-packages.lst be in need of an updated list of packages to convert?

I have never used that. It's fairly simple to just install and maintain compat32 manually using Alien Bob's tools. See this post

You can also use slackpkg+

Thanks. I have saved your script as "Daedra's method" in my memo file. It's working smoothly.

A shame, compat32pkg is a nice idea. I'll give it another go for Slackware 15.1+

Also check out http://www.slackware.com/~alien/mult...ompat32-tools/

I am not sure if these are the same as the compat32pkg, but this has been updated more recently. This is what used before I stopped pulling in 32 bit packages. I believe slackpkg+ pulls in this package if you enable multilib.
