Wink Hello there

If you want a real bootsplash (with a nice high color screen and a progress bar) besides of just the LILO screen, read this:

http://x-softsi.com.br/site/?p=26

It's a Brazilian site, so I guess you will be perfectly able to read it

That site contains patches for the kernel level Bootsplash implementation.

Hope you find it useful!

Hi people!

I verified that only one type of bmp image can be choosed!

Perceptor: The command lilo -E can works, but only with the default slack.bmp
When I tried if one others imagem, i receive this message:
Editing contents of bitmap file: /boot/storm.bmp
Fatal: Not a bitmap file '/boot/storm.bmp'

Its strange, because i downloaded some images from google in bmp format...
Only one picture give me a different message:
Editing contents of bitmap file: /boot/linux.bmp
Fatal: Unsupported bitmap file '/boot/linux.bmp' (24 bit color)

I think I need to study a little os image formats....

folkenfanel: Thank you so much for this link!
I will read as soon!

Thank you guys!

Some nice tips here:

There was another very fine link, but I lost it.
