Change Eth Device
when linux boots I there are a lot of errors with my eth car.how can I change the driver ? In my rc.modules I find modules for my network card and my usb device but how can I make them work ?
On default the slack uses the module 8139cp.o for my network RealTek but the correct is 8139too.o ;-)

just change that line in rc.modules from 8139cp to 8139too. or am i missing something?

Eth tool setting changes is not refelected in Linux 8.0
Hi,
My system is Linux red hat 8.0. I ahve installed Ethtool1.8.
I cann't change the ethtool setting( I mean this has a features to change the seeting for eth0 card). And I am another changes for SIOCETHTOOL
#define SIOCETHTOOL 0x8947 --This will give other option except -i
//#define SIOCETHTOOL 0x8946 ---Using we can get details about -i option only

You do realize that this is a Slackware forum and your question is about Redhat, right? You may have better luck posting this question in Networking or Software.
