Can I use winetricks from slackbuilds for alienbob's wine?

I have installed wine from alienbob's repos but I noticed the command winetricks does not work. Could I download winetricks from slackbuilds.org and use that? Will it be compatible with the version of wine in alienbob's repo?

I just download it and make it executable, see details on wine wiki.

So you download it from the site that is listed on that link you gave me or from slackbuilds? I know slackbuilds is supposed to put vanilla packages but I am just concerned with different versions of wine and winetricks, etc.

Well, I used to download it from kegel.com before it was put on github.
The link on the wiki seems to be changed, but the most recent one should work on any wine version.
Old winetricks would definitely work as well, it's just that some urls inside the script were changed because some of the old links no longer work.

This SlackBuild will get you the latest Winetricks from GitHub.

And yes you can use it with Alien Bob's Wine.

Winetricks is a shell script, so it is not depend on CPU architecture. It need to work only wine and bash or another shell.
