Hi,
If I try to mount a blank (formatted) floppy, slack (9.1) won't do it. It sits for a while thinking about it and then announces:
/dev/fd0: Invalid argument
mount: I could not determine the filesystem type, and none was specified
But if there's a file on it, mounting the very same disk causes no problems at all.
The relevant line in /etc/fstab is:
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,user,rw 0 0
I have the very same set-up in a RH system and have no problem mounting blank floppies with it.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
John
