can't load http://localhost:631 in browser

I'm trying to setup CUPS, but when I try to load http://localhost:631 in my browser (firefox, but the same thing happens in mozilla and galeon) the connection is refused. What could be causing this?

Are you sure cupsd is running ?

/etc/rc.d/rc.cups start

Also what is your output for :

tail /var/log/cups/error_log
tail /var/log/cups/access_log

Thanks, cups wasn't running. Possibly, it was because rc.cups wasn't executable. I had to add execute permissions to it. Now I can access the localhost:631 link.
