can't change refresh rates in Kde


hello!
i've just installed Slackware 13.37 but there seems to be an issue.
i can't change my refersh rates(i want to change ir from 75 to 85 KHZwhich are the only options) as each time i change 85 in KDE from system settings works until i restart X then it goes to the previous setting which is 75.my xorg.conf looks like this

i've tried modifying xorg.conf putting minimum vertical sync to 85 but the same issue
i could really use some ideas

You need to google your display modline at 85hz, then add Modeline into xorg.conf monitor section.

If this is an LCD monitor then don't bother as the refresh rate is now meaningless and has no effect on the displayed output.

p.s is not an lcd and it's pretty old from 2003 i think

Look in /var/log/Xorg.0.log to find the mode information that you need.
