Bringing a 10.0 box up to 10.1?

Using swaret (or other methods), how can I upgrade my 10.0 box at work to 10.1?

Thanks

mod your swaret.conf file and set 'version=current'

I would recommend to download a ISO and follow the instructions on the UPGRADE.txt file (here's one: ftp://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/d....1/UPGRADE.TXT )

I personally keep to current without problems by pointing my update tool to any current mirror and upgrading non critical packages.

with regard to the post above

changing version to

version=current

will actually not be 10.1

this will be new stuff beyond that.

if you want 10.1 then change the line to version=10.1

if u use current you may find that it is not as stable as 10.1 and you are more likely to run into both bugs and dependancy issues....

I wrote 'current' as (AFAIK), there have been no changes since the 10.1 freeze.

As an fyi, there has been one major update since the 10.1 freeze. Patrick upgraded everything in x/ the the latest x.org version (6.8.2).
