black screen launching dead island

Hello!

I am trying to launch a fresh install of Dead Island using SteamOS native launcher. All I get is a black screen. I've updated to the beta SteamOS client, uninstalled and reinstalled DI, & updated nvidia drivers.

All other games launch fine without issue.

My rig: i5-2500k@4.6, SLI GTX 580, Asus P8Z68-V Pro, CM Hyper 212 Evo, 16GB GSkill DDR3 Sniper, Samsung Pro 256GB, Seasonic Gold X1050, & Asus PB278Q.

Nvidia driver: 340.65
Slack64 14.1 / 3.10.17 w/ multilibs
