ANN: Script to package latest (2.5.0) Calibre for Slackware

I'd like to announce the availability of a script to download and package the latest version of Calibre. You can find it here:

https://gist.github.com/duganchen/a3bc1101e1a4a2bc8e47

Run it as root. It will download the latest version of Calibre (which, today, is 2.5.0), and package it. When it's finished, you'll have a correctly-named, installable package in $TMP (which is /tmp unless you've set it otherwise).

Don't worry about dependencies; they're all included.

When a new version of Calibre is available, just run the script again, and you'll have a package in $TMP to upgradepkg to.

Comments (and suggestions for improving it) are welcome.

Cool, thanks. I thought Calibre 2.0+ needed Qt5, or am I mistaken?

Qt 5 is included.

It starts with the upstream Calibre installer, which downloads a tarball that has every dependency.

The initial release had some issues, but they're fixed now. If you downloaded it before the time the OP was posted and the time this was posted, then please get the current version of the script and reinstall.

As always, please report problems.
