Call me, grumpy.
I couldn't and can't stand kde5. So I started tinkering with kde4 from the last .iso on which it was available and managed to keep it working, but, then, I would upgrade something which in turn would break something. I would managed to fix that, only to do it again. Wash, rinse, repeat.
Then LuckyCyborg came up this project,

Board member BrunoLafleur has also contributed greatly to the project, as has marav and ZhaoLin1457.
It is not meant to run on -current, but it does and runs very well on this box.

It came up for me from Konsole. /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6 is also present.

I didn't think gcc would make a difference, unless one were building kernel modules?

libstdc++. so. 6 is a shared library that is part of the GNU Standard C++ Library. It implements the standard C++ library functions and classes, such as std::string, std::vector, and std::map. This library contains the basic information of the GCC compiler, like the version details.
