No I did it on another machine, then made a slackware CD that would boot using the Kernel I compiled vice the bare.i that comes with the stock slackware.

but how did u do that?
Don't under the part about "Kernel I compiled vice the bare.i that comes with the stock slackware."
How you going make linux to install your recompiled cd during first installation

Did you goto the link listed earlier in this thread? It explains it there. Basically I used my "other" Linux box. Copied the slackware directories onto that computers hard drive. Compiled my new kernel w/ SATA included. Copied the new bzImage, System.map, and .config into the ~/slackware/bootdisk/bare.i directory. Used mkisofs to create a new ISO (there is a readme on the install disks). Burned the new ISO to cdrom. Used my new cdrom to boot the MSI in "enhanced" SATA mode. Installed.

i was also trying to install raid0 array on SATA onboard controllers on A7N8X. They use SiL3112 SATA controller. I don't have another box to make custom CD. Is 9.1 supporting SiL3112 SATA controllers? That'd be awesome. thanks
