2.6.0 no networking

Well I have configured the 2.6.0 kernel and compiled it successfully before with a different network card in my computer. I just recently bought a new linksys network card because my belkin was dying. Anyways, I compile the kernel from a clean start and when it boots up I have no networking. I included dhcp in my kernel config options etc. Any ideas? Everything else works fine. I'm fixing to go back over my new 2.6.0 config and see if i missed anything that could make it not work. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks
Any info needed and I'll reply with it. THanks

you compiled in support for your network card ?
did you build it as a module or not?
does the system see the network card?
/\ lspci , dmesg, pnpdump

The linksys cards usually will use the tulip driver/module. In the new kernel you should have seen in the 10-100 mbit NIC card a dedicated selection for tulip based cards. There you should have selected to either compile as a module or have it built in.

From the sounds of it, seems to me you most likely left this support out.
