using ctrl+alt+f[1-6] neither works in fluxbox nor in xfce. interestingly, it works while i'm still in kdm or slim (1.3.4). once i start fluxbox or xfce, switching back to the text console is no longer possible. starting an empty x11 session using
from a terminal allows me to get back to :0.0.
Xorg.0.log shows nothing:

i have encountered this with the generic 3.2.29 kernel as well as with a custom 3.4.12 kernel, catalyst-legacy and open source radeon driver. my graphics card is a radeon hd3200.
i did a fresh install of 14.0, keeping my $HOME (but deleted .config/xfce4) and reused some files from my 13.37-/etc.
since things work as they should unless a windowmanager/de is started, i believe that this issue is related to dbus or consolekit. removing ~/.xinitrc does not help. any idea?
