12.1 install not creating inittab and RC scripts.


During three different NFS installs of 12.1, I get errors on post-install boot that it cannot enter any runlevels.

Booting via rescuecd shows that there are no /etc/rc.d/rc.S, rc.M, etc...

Additionally, there is no /etc/inittab created.

Is there a corruption in my NFS share of slack? I'm a slack mirror and pull down nightly snapshots, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on.

Both of those are from the sysvinit-scripts-1.2-noarch-20 package. Perhaps you missed a step in your install routine. Could you describe it in more detail?
