[Suggestion] Mozilla Firefox 31 ESR for Slackware Current and next stable release

I hope the next stable release of Slackware has the Firefox 31 Extended Support Release (ESR).
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.or...eases/31.0esr/

This new cycle has started and will keep support until August 2015.

I suspect the next stable release will have what ever version of ESR is available at that time. As for -current, my opinion is it should stay with the regular releases of Firefox unless it's close to release time as was done with Slackware 14.1

I think that an ESR version of Firefox for Slackware 14.2 makes sense if Pat wants that, but, not for slackware-current. Our development branch by its nature gradually changes over time as newer/more stable/secure versions of programs are released upstream.

I hope the release time will not take too long and we all are hoping that Mr. Volkerding will accelerate the progress in the Current to release new version in a few months this year.

As always Slackware 14.2 will be released when it is ready. Praise Bob.

Thunderbird though seems to have moved on to the 31x series..

Firefox 24 ESR as being part of Slackware 14.1 version, it's expect an update in stable changelog soon with Firefox 24.7.0 ESR and can be sure it will keep support until the last release of version 24.8.x

that last version numbers of the esr in that table don't mean anything.

the 17 esr serie hasn't stopped with the version indicated there.

As far as I am concerned, it's never to long until the next release. When it happens I am already there.
