[ANN] Slackbuilds and packages for Studioware 14.1
My apologies for not posting this earlier.
We now have 14.1 SlackBuilds and 64/32 bit packages available for our Studioware project, with the exception of Ardour at the moment (which I will look into).
Studioware is a project aimed at providing build scripts and packages of the best open source music and audio editing software available for Slackware Linux. We also include libraries and other dependencies with a comprehensive dependency list for each package so you will know exactly what you need to install. Although Studioware is quite a small project, we are Slackware users of many years experience and intend to share our experiences of building and running the software on the wiki. Most of us are musicians too.

Tried it with the packages for 14.1 64 bit here http://www.studioware.org/packages/slackware64-14.1/, but it didn't work. I guess that your repository is not created with AlienBob's scripts?
AFAIK, those scripts create a repository that can be used with slackpkg+. Would be nice to have your repository compatible to the rest.

Noted. I haven't seen alienBob's scripts that create a repo.
why as video editor is chosen Openshot? Is it better than for example kdenlive?
Why there are no music tracker like milkytracker or for example sunvox?
Video is a new idea that we are adding slowly at the moment but we are looking for ideas for extra packages to add so I'll make a note of kdenlive. IIRC we were waiting for sbo to reach 14.1 so we could use pprkut's ffmpeg script.
I've never heard of milkytracker or sunvox but we can have a look at those.
Regarding kdenlive, it is currently not maintained, the maintainer has mysteriously disappeared.
Yep alienBob is on IRC with us at the moment. As soon as I finish up with ardour I'll be give his script a run.
WRT ardour we currently have ardour (2.x.x) and ardour3 working (just waiting for packages to mirror). It looks like there may be a problem with ardour3 opening old ardour 2.x projects so we'll keep both as long as we can.

last kdenlive version released 2013-07-04 and last openshot version somewhere in 2012. as for kdenlive I know that it compiles on Slackware 14.1 and works well.
