Oh man...this is what one guy said over there:

Nothing like a bunch of newbies telling newbies what distro is better and how putting a './' in front of a executeable will make it 'run'. Thats what linuxquestions.org is good for.

if a newbie figures something out and then helps another newbie this is bad??

newbies have not tired of the same questions being asked. they are excited about helping.

I think we need to create a team of five LQO members to go over there and straighten things out. Here are my nominees(in no particular order):

1. acid_kewpie
2. unSpawn
3. Mara
4. MasterC
5. Tinkster

It sounds as if they no longer know the difference there between hacking code or config files and a cracker.

There used to be intelligent life over there. It's a shame for Linux to have that site representing such a nice OS

Ok... I tried reading that but I had to stop.

I can't quite understand what PleaseNoFlames is looking for. If he is still wondering what distro to use to be a "hacker", he's still got a lot to read.... as do we all... we were all there... but that's beside the point.

That thread would have been closed here after the second post.

Sheesh...
