I picked up a copy of LinuxFormat Magazine at my local Borders Books. I have only read one issue, but it seems like it's a kick but mag. I will have to pay around $95 U.S. to get a subscription because it is a U.K. based mag.
Anyone here read it and like it?
If so....is it worth the money. It's the best linux mag I've read so far, and I'd pay that money if it was worth it. I think I'll pick up another issue and see if this month is as good as last month.
A hundred bucks?! Well I say it worth it's price in gold. How many years does that make ya good for? I'll see if the bookstore has the mag, thanks for the referral!
SInce a year I buy it every month, very good magazine, good information, good cd-roms (at least 2 every month packed with software) that come with it. Keeps you up to date. It's a bargain if you add it all up.
I've had massive problems with their last 4
DVD issues, and shipping them to UK for
replacement kind of kills the cost/benefit...
Also the mags arrive like 7 weeks late here
down-under, which makes the latest breaking
software appear outdated quite frequently ;)
The contents of the mag however is alright,
wish there was a cheap edition without any
media ;)
