Could not start gmplayer ...? Why ??

Well here's my issue .... I have compiled succesfully the newest mplayer .... with all codecs available ..and the option ./configure --with-enable-gui ..or whatever for the GUI ...thing .... but ..when I do gmplayer it says something about adding echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq to my startup scripts ...ok I've done that ...but now when I do gmplayer ... It starts with the following lines ...

Code:
sys7em@mx:~/downloads/chrome_sys$ gmplayer
MPlayer 1.0pre6-3.3.4 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team
CPU: Advanced Micro Devices Athlon Thunderbird (Family: 6, Stepping: 2)
Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 0 SSE2: 0
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx

vo: X11 running at 1024x768 with depth 24 and 32 bpp (":0.0" => local display)
And it hangs ...and nothing happens .... what should I do to get the GUI running ...

P.S. Distro: Slackware 10
kernel 2.6.10 + GeForce 2 GTS + Latest Drivers from NVIDIA ...
...by the way ..mplayer is running fine ...but I cannot get the GUI to work ...
plz help

You need to get a skin from Mplayer webpage, then unpack the file you download and put all the files (that are inside the unpacked folder) and copy to: /usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin/default/
If you want to use others skins, you can put them on ~/.maplayer/Skin

Well the problem was the wrong path of the skin ....

Don't know why but I have putted the skin in /usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin/default/skin/
instead of the RIGHT place /usr/local/share/mplayer/Skin/default/ ... anyway ...now everything is working great ...

I'm sorry I've lost your time because of my *lame* mistake .... sorry again ...and thanks
