Help with gmplayer

I have mplayer loaded on my SW10 and I get the following area:

~$ gmplayer
MPlayer 1.0pre6-3.3.4 (C) 2000-2004 MPlayer Team
CPU: Advanced Micro Devices Athlon Thunderbird (Family: 6, Stepping: 2)
Detected cache-line size is 64 bytes
CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 1 3DNow2: 1 SSE: 0 SSE2: 0
Compiled for x86 CPU with extensions: MMX MMX2 3DNow 3DNowEx

vo: X11 running at 1024x768 with depth 24 and 32 bpp (":0" => local display)
Linux RTC init error in ioctl (rtc_irqp_set 1024): Permission denied
Try adding "echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq" to your system startup scripts.

Where can I find the "system startup scripts" they are talking about?

Thanks,

i added that echo command to /etc/rc.d/rc.local
Quote:
echo
echo " -> changing max-user-freq to 1024"
echo 1024 > /proc/sys/dev/rtc/max-user-freq
i believe you have to enable "enhanced real time clock support" in the kernel first (for 2.6, it's under device drivers->character devices).

The realtime clock module may already be built but not loaded. Try modprobe rtc
