lost writing ability on usb-stick / not possible with protocol "drives" - how to fix?

it reminds me a little bit of my printer-problem but i just found out that i lost the right to write data on my usb-stick. it says that with the protocol "drives" i cannot allow myself to change the setting. i see this when i do a right-click on the drive and try to make me writeable.

the funny thing with it is that i intended to use it to carry a text to the university to print it out there. you see the ironic with it...!? well, the internet will do.

best regards

It must be a conspiracy! Mine started doing the same thing last night, and now it can't even find it anymore. I just hope my printer doesn't start doing it as well.

that's really weird!! my stick disappears from time to time, too, for no apparent reason - unplugging and plugging in again works then. tonight i can copy things from my harddisc onto it again, but no direct save from within mozilla for example... i always wonder how things beginning with 0 or 1 can turn out doing things that unlogic...
